Bridge School Benefit 2005
 The
19th annual Bridge School Benefit, an acoustic music festival, which
played two sold-out performances this weekend in support of this
extraordinary school for severely handicapped children founded by
Pegi Young, Neil’s wife and business partner.
Bridge School concert appearances have always
offered performers the opportunity to give something back to society
and step outside their musical safety zone. With pure acoustic
performances and half-hour sets, the lists of esteemed and
distinguished artists continue to amaze concert goers again and
again.
This year’s line up consisted of Good Charlotte,
Los Lobos, Bright Eyes, Jerry Lee Lewis, Emmylou Harris, Norah
Jones, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews & Crosby Stills, Nash & Young
Young and his longtime friends Crosby, Stills and
Nash brought their 11-song set to a dramatic close with the classic
"Teach Your Children," as they did 19 years ago at the first Bridge
School Benefit in 1986. Once again The Bridge School Benefit Concert
was the pinnacle of the 2005 Shoreline season and we can’t wait to
see what they have in store for next years 20th
anniversary show.
