Music’s best kept secret.
There was a special vibe in the air last weekend. Not that Berkeley
is a stranger to incidents but this one was a doozy. The String Cheese Incident rocked the
Greek theater for a two night jam session.
You have never seen so many hula hoopers in one place all swaying to
the bluegrass, transcendent Afro-pop rhythms and
breezy Calypso grooves of the Cheese. If you have never seen a String Cheese show you are
missing one of the most invigorating and spiritually lifting musical experiences today.
Each
night had its highlights. I loved the big funk/techno jam out of "Got What He
Wanted” “My personal highlight was from the first set were Bill rocked on the
Way Back Home, setting a great vibe for the rest of the nights musical mind trip”
Overall it was 2 great nights of high energy music that everyone walked away from wanting
more. |
